Travel like a celebrity

We at Nezasa pride ourselves in providing top-of-the-line itineraries to our clients. This includes out-of-the-way places that really leave a lasting impression on visitors.

Famous people are no different. Even though they may have travelled and seen more than the average person due to their larger wallets, they’re still gobsmacked by the sheer beauty of Asian locales in the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan and many other places in Nezasa’s list of destination countries.

Without further ado, here are four notable celebrity destination spots that notable A-listers have given their stamp of approval to:

1. Kyoto, Japan

Sin City star Jessica Alba posted numerous photos to her Twitter and Instagram accounts of her trip to Japan with her family, which included stops at numerous attractions in Kyoto and of course, a trip to Japan’s Disneyland. Here’s one of her snaps:

She also had some great advice for those travelling to Japan in a recent Q&A with Vanity Fair. In it, she said this about Kyoto: “I fell in love with Kyoto on my most recent vacation to Japan. Between walking the towering bamboo forests, meditating in the beautiful temples, and enjoying the amazing cuisine, I found it all very romantic.”

2. Palawan, Philippines

When Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz were in the Philippines shooting The Bourne Legacy, they stayed at El Nido Resorts’ Lagen Island on Palawan, which is included in Nezasa’s list of places to stay while on the island.

This stunningly otherworldly place left a major impression on Hollywood stars Rachel Weisz and Jeremy Renner, among others.

Weisz was blown away by the fantasy-land appearance of the island, telling the Philippine Daily Inquirer: “Palawan is like a paradise island,” she said. “It is more like the Emerald City. It is like a fantasy. Maybe it’s real to you, but to me, it looked like a fantasy place. I definitely would love to go back to Palawan.”

Renner, for his part, came close to calling it a divine experience in an interview with the same publication: “It seems spawned from the heavens. It is one of the most beautiful islands I have ever seen. It’s gorgeous!”

3. Boracay, Philippines

The Shangri-La Boracay Resort and Spa is rightfully near the top of the list of true luxury destinations in Southeast Asia.

In fact, the famously guarded Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reportedly stayed there in 2009, giving the area a stamp of approval as a major place to stay. We can’t find much about what they thought about the place as they are quite private, but the fact they stayed there for a week says a lot.

Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa is one of the world's preeminent luxury accommodation spots and for good reason.

4. Rajasthan, India

A trip to Rajasthan is not complete without a horse ride through the desert and a stay at a former Maharaja’s palace. Madonna reportedly rang in the 2008 New Year in Rajasthan, where she stayed at the luxurious Umaid Bhawan Palace.

The lobby alone is stunning and well worth the visit, and those who wish to live amongst royalty – or live like an A-lister such as Madonna – should explore the opportunity to stay here even for just one night.

Who wouldn’t want to stay here? This remnant of Indian royalty is still standing, and is well worth the stay even if for one night.
